Metal Impeller Wear Parts

The slurry pump impeller play an extremely important role in the operation of centrifugal slurry pump. By rotating, it can help slurry pump meet the needs of the equipment.

The slurry pump impeller is easy to be worn out, so we search for the special materials to prolong the lifespan of impeller, high chrome white iron is one of them, aims at handling the slurries with strong abrasion or sharp particles.

There are main three type of impeller, Open, Semi-open and Closed. So impeller selection to deal with different slurry with solid have different choices. Our engineer will offer you the best solution for slurry handling.

Slurry Pump impeller is one of the most important parts of centrifugal slurry pump. Depending on site application, slurry pump impeller selection can be crucial to pump performance.

Slurry pumps contain several wetted parts that are essential for operation, including the volute liner, throat bush, frame plate liner insert, and the impeller. The pump impeller is one of the most important parts of the slurry pump. It is located in the pump body on the shaft and connects with the motor to form a centrifugal force system. When the motor drives the impeller to rotate, the blades force fluid to rotate, increasing its pressure, potential energy, and kinetic energy. At the same time, under the force of inertia, fluid flows from the center to the edge of the impeller, out at a very high speed, and passes through the discharge pipeline to be transported. When an impeller is rotating, and in good condition, the slurry pump can easily meet output expectations. They are, however, highly prone to wear and require regular maintenance to ensure efficiency.

Wetted parts, especially the pump impeller, are vulnerable, require regular attention, and will likely require frequent replacements in large volume operation. Because abrasive particles in the slurry can produce high-speed scour on the wetted parts of a pump, they are more prone to wear, resulting in an increased risk of damage due to friction and corrosion. If the correct materials are not selected for a production process, this can take place in mere days.
